About Hillary Wright
Hillary
Wright, MEd, RD, LDN, is a registered and
licensed dietitian, and has been a member of
the American Dietetic Association since
1987. Hillary has a bachelor’s degree in
Human Nutrition from the University of
Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master’s
degree in Health Education from Boston
University. She completed her dietetic
internship at Mount Auburn Hospital in
Cambridge, MA. In addition, Hillary has
taken graduate level courses in consumer
writing from the Tufts University School of
Nutrition Communication.
Hillary has over 18 years experience
counseling clients on diet and lifestyle
change. After 12 years as a nutrition
educator for Harvard Vanguard Medical
Associates, in 2006 Hillary transitioned to
a part time position as a nutritionist at
the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston,
MA, where she provides nutrition care for
those undergoing treatment, as well as
cancer survivors. Hillary is also the
Director of Nutrition Counseling for the
Domar Center for Complementary Healthcare (www.domarcenter.com)
in Waltham, MA, where she specializes in
nutrition and women’s health issues.
Hillary’s nutrition consulting practice, New
Vision Nutrition, includes freelance
writing, website writing and editing, recipe
development and analysis, public speaking,
seminar development and presentation,
consultation with food companies and media
work. Hillary has also held adjunct faculty
position at Northeastern University and
Bunker Hill Community College in Boston, and
Framingham State College in Framingham, MA,
and has been a nutrition instructor for
medical students at Tufts University School
of Medicine.
Hillary is a contributing editor and regular
writer for the newsletter Environmental
Nutrition, and is currently working with the
Arlington Public Schools on grant funded
programs designed to increase nutrition
education and physical activity in the
schools and community.
An active member of the Massachusetts
Dietetic Association (MDA), Hillary has been
Chairperson and Director of Public
Relations, and has been the recipient of the
American Dietetic Association’s “Recognized
Young Dietitian of the Year” award. Hillary
resides in Arlington, MA with her husband
and three sons.
